I know I promised…
February 28th, 2010

… a weekend of cooking but… It is a lazy Sunday and I’m not in the mood for a big meal… Instead, I give you…Bagna Cauda mopped up with Italian Bread (and part of the Omnivore’s 100). I made this for our New Years Dinner… I’ve never liked anchovies but with butter, olive oil and garlic, it was delicious and did not last long. Juan took the deer photo during our skiing trip over Christmas break… we would walk outside of our room and there would be deer… so cute…

Don’t Judge…

… this dish by the photo… go here and see how delicious it can look…It is really delicious! A Life (Time) of Cooking is one of my favorite blogs… Not only because of the gorgeous photographs and intriguing recipes but I always feel relaxed and refreshed after reading the posts… I made Fragrant Eggplant and Yoghurt… Unfortunately, I forgot to watch the time and burned the garlic. So I sliced up a clove to mix in with some greek yogurt. It was an excellent and healthy dinner.
Cooking Day Two…

… Tartine’s Zucchini Orange Marmalade Bread…I’ve been drooling over this ever since Mark posted it… good thing I now have the cookbook… After Juan and I found Ginger Orange Marmalade at Gene’s Sausage Shop last weekend (more on that soon)… I’ve been thinking it was time to make it… I like it a lot… I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil and it worked fine. I would probably actually cut the amount of oil next time… Quite good and you can pretend that it’s healthy after all zucchini is a vegetable…
